UNESCO Fashion Report Launch

Bori Shinichi

THE BRIEF

The UNESCO African Fashion Sector Report Launch campaign was aimed at raising awareness, stimulating discussions, and driving action towards sustainable growth in the African fashion industry. By implementing strategic communication tactics and engaging with key stakeholders, we were tasked with the responsibility of positioning UNESCO as a leading advocate for cultural preservation and economic development in the region.

Also, we worked to generate significant media coverage and awareness of the report’s key findings and finally, strengthen the stakeholder engagement and collaboration within the African fashion industry.

THE SOLUTION

To ensure the event's impact resonated far beyond the room, we implemented a three-pronged approach:
We identified and engaged with relevant media outlets to ensure extensive coverage in real-time and report on the event afterwards.
We crafted key messages in alignment with UNESCO’s objectives to convey the significance of the report launch and also key themes outlined in the report.
We coordinated attendance and participation from UNESCO’s leadership to key stakeholders and managed the overall press accreditation process.

THE RESULT

Through strategic communication tactics, stakeholder engagement, and meticulous event logistics oversight, the UNESCO was positioned as a key advocate for cultural preservation and economic development in Africa, garnering recognition from prestigious publications like Vogue Business and Bella Naija. This campaign sets a precedent for continued progress and collaboration within the African fashion industry.
